Amy Pogue (Physiotherapy)

Practice Style (Philosophy)

Amy is an active-based therapist who educates and motivates others so they feel empowered throughout their rehab experience. She believes it's important to treat the root cause of the problem and works hard to ensure patients have a strong understanding of their condition. Amy works with others to create functional goals to measure and achieve success so they can return to the activities they love as quickly and safely as possible. Her positive outlook and strong communication skills help her to build connections with others, ensuring her patients feel understood and encouraged while they are on the road to recovery.

Amy stays current with evidence-informed research and values her educational development. Most recently, she has furthered her interest in women's health by training to assess and treat individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction and/ or incontinence. Amy also has completed courses in manual therapy, running analysis and exercise prescription.

Unique Facts

Amy enjoys finding new ways to stay active and can be found running, biking, swimming or doing yoga when she's not in the clinic. She's also a dog lover and often walks her ten year old border collie/lab mix, Toby, along Lake Ontario when the weather is nice.
